Military Park Oak Grove Park in Pensacola, FL is a very clean campsite that is only open to individuals with a DOD ID card. We paid $34 for a premium site, which is about 25 steps closer to the beach than the regular sites. The campsite is a little dated but pretty nice. Most of the power boxes were missing protective covers, leaving the 50amp plug exposed to the weather. The campground had Wifi that was fairly reliable, and the CATV worked pretty well. The campsite is located a few blocks from the Sherman Cove Marina where you can rent a boat to explore the bay, but you must attend a boating safety class that is only offered on Saturdays. The Naval Air Museum is located on the base and is definitely worth seeing. The beach next to the campsite is beautiful, but swimming is not allowed. The biggest issue with this campground is the limited gate access later in the evening, as the West Gate shuts down and all traffic must enter through the main gate. Overall, we enjoyed our 5-day stay and are looking forward to returning once the park is updated.
