What others are saying about this campground
El Govenor RV Park is a newly rebuilt beachside campground located in Mexico Beach, Florida, just across the street from a beautiful white, sandy beach. It is a basic no frills bare bones dirt and grass lot with 30 amp full hookups, and plenty of room to maneuver the RV, with car attached, inside the park. The park is still rebuilding from the destruction caused by Hurricane Michael, but a new swimming pool and Tiki bar should be up and running by 2023. The managers are friendly, helpful and do a great job of keeping the park clean, and they treat guests like family. There are a couple of expensive, not amazing restaurants, and a small hardware store, with some food trucks that keep limited hours. There is not a lot to do in Mexico Beach, but it is halfway between Panama City and Apalachicola, which provide entertainment and shopping. The Piggly Wiggly in Port St Joe is also nearby. Guests can access the pool and chairs on the beach with a code provided by the park. Unfortunately, the park does not offer refunds or allow for make up days under any circumstances, including a hurricane watch.

El Governor Beach Resort & RV Park is a beachfront resort hotel and RV park located directly on the sugar white sands of Mexico Beach, Florida. The property has been completely renovated since the damage of Hurricane Michael. The RV park offers easy in and easy out for RVs up to 40 ft, with some spots being close together. They have a brand new shower/laundry house, a community fire pit, and picnic/grill area. The hotel is not open yet so there is no pool, but it is right across the street from the beach. The staff is friendly and the park is dog-friendly with many different places to walk them.
