Sun Lake RV Resort in Ruskin, FL is a solid choice if you are looking for a location close to I-75 and various stores and restaurants. You can also create connections with residents who organized various events, showing an excellent sense of community. Additionally, the laundry room is clean and has current machines. However, our RV spot was less than ideal upon arrival, with loose sandy ground causing difficulty for our large rig. This issue, combined with the general lack of resort-level amenities, leads us to believe that calling it a resort is a stretch. Despite the low water pressure, the maintenance crew was responsive to our concerns and attended to the fire ant situation. Also, keep in mind that the residents are dog-friendly, but there is noticeable highway noise from the nearby I-75.
