Overall, Macdonald campground is a great place for those who want to get back to nature and enjoy the Florida wilderness. It is a great spot for fishing, kayaking, and boating on the Sebastian River. The campground has large sites with concrete picnic tables and fire rings, a bathhouse for campers only, and plenty of wildlife and plants to discover. The tent sites are a bit small, but most are shady and secluded with lots of trees and shrubs between. The campground is also conveniently located 20 minutes from the beach.

Donald MacDonald Park lies on the Sebastian River (northern Indian River County). Features include 26 primitive campsites (1 group/double site) and 5 sites with electricity. All sites have water, fire pits and picnic tables. Park features an observation boardwalk, a boat launch, and restrooms with hot showers. The campground & park are open 365 days per year. Alcohol is not allowed.
