What others are saying about this campground
Faver Dykes State Park is a remote campground set deep in the woods of Florida, perfect for nature lovers. With plenty of wild animals such as deer, raccoons, possums, armadillos, and birds, it is a great place to observe and explore the wildlife. Fishing and kayaking access on the Moultrie Creek is available, and the park is only 30 minutes from St Augustine and even closer to the beach. The campsites are very tropical, with plenty of foliage between sites for privacy. The road into the park is a windy dirt road, and getting into the sites with a big rig can be difficult due to the narrowness of the road and the amount of trees. The hiking trails are nice, but the mosquitoes and deer flies can make it difficult to enjoy. The campground is close to St Augustine for day trips, and the sites are wide and private. Be aware of ticks, as they are present year round. The bathhouse is a bit outdated, but clean with plenty of hot water. The road out of the park can have some large puddles to drive through, but is otherwise fine.
