Sugarloaf Key/Key West KOA Holiday is a beautiful, well-managed campground with friendly, helpful and informed staff. The facilities are top-notch, including a wonderful pool and hot tub, various activities, and great amenities. The campground is beautifully landscaped with lovely plants and foliage that offer a more private experience even at sites that are close together. The entertainment is great, and there is plenty of space to find spots to hang out and read. However, some guests have had issues with certain aspects of the campground, including the hard and uncomfortable pool chairs, asphalt tent sites which should have been sand, and inefficient electric at some sites. In addition, some have expressed concern about the crowding that might occur when the new apartments are filled. Despite these issues, most guests highly recommend this KOA, with some saying its the best KOA in the system.
