Fisheating Creek Outpost in Venus, FL is a stunning RV park with breathtaking views overlooking the lake and river. Please note that if you have a larger RV, you should ensure it can fit into the spot they assign you, as some live oak limbs can be too low. Rows B (except B11) and C, however, can accommodate taller rigs. Despite this, most campers thoroughly enjoy their stay here and would recommend it to others. You can enjoy a variety of activities during your stay, such as fishing, renting canoes, and having a fire on the beach. It is also worth mentioning that securing a campsite during the winter months (Nov-May 1) can be a gamble, so its always best to check availability before your visit. Fisheating Creek Outpost is located in south central Florida, so its no surprise that you may see alligators, wild hogs, and snakes. Additionally, be prepared for mosquitoes during your stay. The Livery, which is connected to the Outpost/Campground, offers both equipment rentals and shuttle services for visitors who want to enjoy paddling upstream. The Creek was not flowing too swiftly during my visit, making paddling upstream in kayaks or laden canoes quite enjoyable. You might even spot herons, egrets, wood storks, and many other birds native to the region. Please note that swimming in the creek is not recommended and is discouraged because of the presence of alligators.
