This campground is the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature. Located just an hour south of Jacksonville in Welaka, the campground offers 4 cabins for rent, 5 RV sites, a small swimming pool, and a dock with a party on Sundays. The owners are friendly and the bathrooms and laundry room are very clean. The only downside is the large number of blind bugs that can be found throughout the campground. There is a fishing camp nearby with a ramp, but it is also overrun with bugs. For those looking to fish, the shrimp is running in the river, but unfortunately no one has caught anything. There is a public boat ramp down the street with fewer bugs, and for entertainment, there is a place called “Shrimp R Us” with live bands and good food and drink.
