The campground offers a great view of the lake, but be aware of the traffic noise if you are a light sleeper. Allatoona Campground is a 50-site ACE campground on the beautiful Lake Allatoona. Most sites have easy access to the lake, with picnic tables and grills provided. The sites are well maintained, with level paved pads and plenty of shade. The campground is close to I-75, however, and the traffic noise can be heard in every section of the campground. The campground offers a great view of the lake, but light sleepers should be aware of the noise. The campground attendants are friendly and welcoming, and cell service is excellent. There is no wifi, but 24 local antenna TV stations are available. There are no sewer hookups, and sites must be booked in pairs without a discount. The campground is a great spot for an overnight stop and is very peaceful after the busyness of Atlanta.
