What others are saying about this campground
The campground is also close to Cartersville, so you can get all the supplies you need. Red Top Mountain State Park is a newly refurbished campground with freshly graveled and defined sites, separated by 6x6 timbers. The Park is situated on Allatoona Lake, offering plenty of space between rigs and lots of trees, perfect for those looking for a quiet getaway. The Park has a full hookup section under construction, and smaller campers and RVs can find plenty of level sites on a crushed stone base with a fire ring and table. The Park also offers a variety of activities, including walking and biking trails, fishing and boating, and a Visitor Center with learning opportunities for kids. The campground is well-run and maintained, with basic amenities in a great location. However, some of the sites are not level and the roads can be narrow and challenging to navigate. The bath house is basic and adequate, and the laundry room is a bit dodgy. The Park is also close to Cartersville, so campers can get all the supplies they need.
