Chehaw Campground is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway or a longer vacation. Located in South Georgia, the campground offers spacious, grassy sites with picnic tables, tall pine trees, 20/30/50 amp service, water and some with sewer. There are plenty of activities to keep everyone entertained, including a small wildlife park with animal exhibits, hiking trails, mountain biking trails, a fantastic playground and water element for kids, BMX track, remote control car track, disc golf and kayaking/fishing just outside the park entrance. The park also hosts the annual Nut Roll biking event with 30-100 mile options. The campground is undergoing upgrades and improvements, including a larger holding tank for dumping and full hook-up sites. The roads getting in are a little tight, but the campground offers peace and quiet, tall pine trees and enormous spaces between sites. There is also a large playground and the Animal Park is within walking distance of your site.
