What others are saying about this campground
Mistletoe State Park is a beautiful campground located in northern Georgia between Atlanta and Augusta. It sits on a peninsula on the Clarks Hill Lake, also known as J Strom Thurmond Reservoir, and offers spectacular views of the lake. There are beach and pavillions for large picnics, playgrounds, cottages, a convenience store inside the office, friendly camp hosts, and a dump station in the park. The sites are spacious and well-maintained, and some are located right on the lake. There is a boat ramp, kayak and paddleboard rentals, cabins, and hiking trails. The park office offers activities for the kids and there are many comfort stations with private showers. The lake is great for boating, kayaking, fishing or swimming and there is plenty of wildlife to observe. The only downside is that there are no sewer connections and the trees block satellite reception.
