What others are saying about this campground
This campground is a great place to stay for a variety of reasons. It is located on Strom Thurmond Lake, the largest man-made lake east of the Mississippi River, and offers great views of the lake from most sites. It is well maintained and clean, with beach areas for swimming in warm weather. There are plenty of activities such as biking, fishing, and hiking, as well as frisbee golf and boat access. The sites are wide and easy to navigate, and there is strong cell service for AT&T and Verizon and decent WiFi. There is a dump station at the front gate, but no black water dump at the sites. The Camp Host, Judy, was friendly and helpful. There is also an outdoor shower at each site. The only downside is that there can be a lot of ants, so be sure to bring an ant deterrent. Trash in firepits is also a common issue. Overall, this is a great campground and visitors would definitely stay here again.
