Deer Run Campground is a great campground located on a large lake in the state of Mississippi. It is located about 10 miles west of Tupelo and has two camping areas set on adjacent points of land. The campground offers spacious sites with a fire area, picnic table, electric hookup, water and sewer hook up. There is easy access to Natchez Trace Parkway, and the campground is a great spot for those looking to explore the area. The roads leading to the camp sites are full of pot holes, but the speed limit is 25, giving you time to drive around most. There is no store in the area, but you can make reservations online. The campground also features a bath house with a coin laundry and a party room, as well as a trash roll off outside of the camping loop. Unfortunately, the campground is not dark sky friendly due to two street lights that light up most of the small campground loop. There is also no senior discount available. Despite these drawbacks, Deer Run Campground is a great spot for those looking to explore the area and enjoy the outdoors.
