The Walter F. George Lake Campgrounds offer excellent waterfront campsites with various amenities. The Corps of Engineers maintains several campgrounds at Walter F. George Lake, which are considered to be some of the best outdoor recreation facilities in the eastern United States. The fee campgrounds like White Oak Creek, Cotton Hill, Bluff Creek, and Hardridge Creek offer water and electrical hookups, ample parking, grills, picnic tables, and clean shower facilities with laundries. Non-fee camping is available at Rood Creek Park on Walter F. George Lake and Coheelee Creek Park on Lake George W. Andrews. These areas are perfect, secluded places to go fishing or just relax and enjoy nature.
