GenieSummary
This campground is located on the Altamaha River and is a great spot for boat owners. Although shore fishing is limited, there is a fishing pier for anglers. Each campsite has a grill and table, and the amenities are great with a bathhouse close to the tent sites. There is a swimming area, playground, and free WiFi. The store has groceries and fishing tackle, and a kitchen serves breakfast and sandwiches. The downside is that boat ramps can be busy, and the area is a bit sketchy with locals and their boats on the weekends. The sites are close together, and there is no security or rule adherence enforced. The road to the park is a bit narrow, and the rest of the park is dirt. This is a great spot for a cheap stay with beautiful views, but it is more of a fish camp than a camping spot.
