The campground is situated on a lake and has lots of trees. The sites are spacious and level. The staff was friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. The beach was nice and the playground was great for the kids. The only downside was the flies. They were everywhere and it was hard to keep them away from the food. Sweetwater Campground is a beautiful park situated on Allatoona Lake in Georgia. It offers spacious, level sites with access to a beach, playground, and day use area. The park also has several bathhouses, two dump stations, and a large swimming area with Georgia clay. Fishing is available, although not great, and the lake views are stunning. The campground is starting to show its age in the bathroom area, but the staff is friendly and helpful. The sites have fire pits, picnic tables, and lantern poles. Unfortunately, the flies can be a nuisance, and there are no full hookup sites. However, the park is still a great choice for a peaceful getaway, with plenty of activities for the whole family.
