What others are saying about this campground
Ravens Cliffs Campground is a beautiful and well-maintained primitive campground nestled in the Georgia mountains. It offers a variety of amenities, including outhouses, a water pump, and picnic areas, as well as two nearby waterfalls to explore. The sites are private and shady, and the camp host couple is friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the campground is close to a busy road, so there is some road noise at night. There is also a lot of debris in the creek, which makes fishing difficult. Black bears are active in the area, so campers should be careful to not leave any food out. The trails to the waterfalls are well-kept and safe, and the bridges and viewing platforms are sturdy. This is a great spot for a short day visit, but not ideal for an overnight stay.

From The Campground
The campground is a scenic spot with easy access for either a weekend of camping or a quick hike to the falls. There are five beautiful waterfalls along the 3-mile section of the DeSoto Falls Trail located in the 650-acre recreation area. Hikers can access three of the falls, designated as the lower, middle, and upper DeSoto Falls. The lower falls cascade 20 feet, while the middle and the most scenic falls drop 80 feet. Water at the upper falls surges down a granite rock incline for almost 200 feet and may be viewed from the flat, granite formation which overlooks the falls.
