Sites are mostly gravel and some are level while others are very steep. Most sites have a fire ring, picnic table and a lantern post. There is a boat launch and a small beach area. Deer roam the campground and are not spooked by people or dogs. The roads are easy to navigate, but there are some tight turns. The campground is close to a grocery store, hardware store and fishing center. There is good over-the-air TV reception from Atlanta stations. The campground has a peaceful, natural setting and is a great place to relax and enjoy the views of Lake Sydney Lanier. The sites are spacious and have gravel patios with fire rings and picnic tables. The campground has a playground, beach and boat launch. There is no on-site sewer hook-up, but the dump station is easily accessible. There is a third-party company that has subleased some of the most popular campsites in the campground, so be sure to book ahead of time. The staff at check-in can be a bit prickly and there is some maintenance going on. The roads can be a bit narrow, but overall it is a great place to stay.
