What others are saying about this campground
This campground is located on Seminole Lake, a beautiful backwater lake of the Chattahoochee River. It is a great spot for fishing, winter camping, and summer outings, although there is limited shade for the summer months. The campground has recently been renovated after Hurricane Michael, with new gravel pads, plenty of space between sites, fire pits and grills, and large and sturdy picnic tables. There are two playgrounds for the kids, a wonderful 2 mile hiking trail through the woods, and a small swimming area. The camp hosts are friendly and even delivered wood to the campsites. There is one dump site and a Dollar General a couple of miles away. Be aware that alligators may be present in the lake and there are a lot of gnats in the summer, so bug repellent or screened tents are recommended. Unfortunately, some of the sites are still recovering from the hurricane damage, but the park is pristine and the sites are spacious and quiet. There is no Wi-Fi at the registration and no cell phone coverage, so it is not ideal for stopover camping. There is also a problem with the dump station being difficult to locate and access. Despite these issues, the campground is a great spot for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.
