Diamond Lure Campground in Ellijay, GA is a gem of a park with level gravel sites, respectful campers, and helpful staff. The park is laid out in different sections, giving campers the feeling of a state park rather than a private park. There are plenty of trees, which can be a challenge for satellite reception, but there are plenty of nice hiking trails. There are two dog parks, one of which is on the beach, and there is a small dock, sandy swimming area, and a small play area overlooking the lake. Campers can enjoy extensive cable channels on rainy days. The office staff is friendly and helpful, providing guests with information on local activities. The park is reasonably priced and has all the necessary utilities, including cable and basic Wi-Fi. The Verizon signal is strong, but the interior roads are a little narrow, so be cautious.
