Plum Nelly is a small, privately owned campground located on top of a hill in Ellijay, Georgia. It offers a peaceful, quiet, and shaded environment with lots of trees and a great view of the surrounding mountains. The campground is not fancy, but it is clean and well-maintained with friendly staff and helpful hosts. It is conveniently located off of the main highway and is a great place to escape the rat race for a short or long-term stay. The campground offers full hookups, pull-through sites, a fire pit, picnic table, and a hot tub with a great view. There is no cable TV, but the host will allow you to hook up to theirs. The wifi is iffy at times, but the host will reboot the system anytime you ask. The campground is also close to town and has a laundry facility. Unfortunately, the campground is very close to a public road, and cars often speed by, making it a bit noisy. There is also an open fire almost every night, which can create a lot of smoke. However, overall it is a nice, simple park and a great place to stay.
