Van Pugh South is a 37-site Army Corps of Engineers campground located on the southeastern end of Lake Lanier. It is a great campground for those looking to get away from the city while still having access to shopping and other services. Most sites are quite narrow and on hillsides, but some are level and have beautiful lake views. All sites have water and 30amp electric hookups, but no sewer hookups. The campground has a nice shower house and coin laundry. There is a new playground, as well as access to a boat ramp and small clean beaches. Bigger RVs may have difficulty navigating the narrow roads and sites, so check the length requirements before booking. The staff is very friendly and the views of the lake are gorgeous.
