What others are saying
Chattahoochee Bend State Park is a great destination for those looking to get away from it all and enjoy nature. Located about 30 minutes west of Newnan, GA, it offers 5 miles of river frontage on the Chattahoochee, a boat ramp, six miles of wooded trails, an observation platform, and even an adventure playground for the kids. Campers can choose from RV sites with water, 30/50 amp electric and cable, or platform tent camping. There are also two dump stations and a camp store. The campground is clean and well kept, but there is no beach near the campsites and cell phone coverage is limited. There are plenty of hiking and biking trails, and you can even paddle the river with your own vessel and transportation. The park is also home to a variety of wildlife, including deer. The campground is usually quiet and peaceful, but it can get crowded on weekends in season. There is no sewer hookup, cable, or wi-fi, but the staff are friendly and helpful.
