Hartwell Lakeside KOA Holiday in Hartwell,GA is a great lakeside campground. During my stay, check-in was easy and I was given the option of changing sites if I saw one I liked better. My site was right on the lake and afforded decent privacy. Although the bathhouse was a good distance away, it was warm, had great showers, and hot water. The office personnel were great and helped in picking the perfect spot. The staff was excellent to deal with and delivered wood to our site. The lake access was great from the campsite, and the view was outstanding. The campsite was clean, beautiful and friendly. The WiFi was a great addition, but it would have been nice to have a swimming area or pool. I enjoyed the hikes and fished from the shore. The price was very fair and the campground was not as busy and loud as some other campgrounds in the area. Overall, Hartwell Lakeside KOA Holiday is an outstanding campground and I would definitely stay here again. Although one reviewer had a bad experience with a neighboring camper allowing their dogs to roam freely off-leash, we did not have any issues during our stay and found the campsite to be peaceful and serene.
