Paynes Creek Campground is a great spot to relax and enjoy the beauty of Lake Hartwell. With plenty of parking for trucks with trailers, a boat ramp, and access to the lake, its the perfect place for a weekend getaway. The sites are spacious and private, with plenty of room for a 36ft fifth wheel. You can enjoy the picnic table and fire ring right next to the lake, and there are plenty of trees for shade. The bathrooms need some updating, but are still very clean. You can enjoy swimming, kayaking, fishing, or just floating around on the lake. The campground is secluded and peaceful, but there are plenty of amenities nearby in the town about 15 minutes away. The roads are paved and the campsites are graveled, with fire pits and picnic tables. The camp hosts are accommodating and the shower house is very clean. Paynes Creek is a great spot for a relaxing and peaceful weekend getaway.

Gum Branch Park and Mega Ramp is a fishing facility located on Vanna Waller Road, off Old Hwy 29. It is perfect for fishing tournaments and special events, with 7 launch ramps, a 20 tie up T-Dock, parking for 150 boat trailers, a 50x50 ft. pavilion, bathrooms and picnic tables. Please call the Chamber of Commerce if you would like to book a tournament or rent this facility for a private event.
