What others are saying
Appalachian Campground is a small, basic campground located between Helen and Hiwassee, Georgia, on State Highway 17. It offers spacious, partially shaded, full hook-up sites backing up to a creek at reasonable rates. The campground offers fast and reliable Wi-Fi and t-mobile access point, as well as bundles of firewood for sale on the honor system. The campground hosts are friendly and welcoming, and will help guests unhook their tow dolly and park it in a nearby grassy area. Unfortunately, the campground does not have a swimming pool, playground, or fenced dog park. There is some traffic noise due to its proximity to the highway, but it is muffled by the sound of the creek. The owners/management do not seem to be interested in improving the campground.
