This campground is a great place to stay for a weekend getaway. It offers a large open grassy area with plenty of shade from the large pine trees. The sites are close together but are relatively easy to get to. Security is tight with codes required for the bathroom, shower, and laundry and cameras installed throughout the campground. Half of the lots are taken up by people who rent by the year and park a camper for use on weekends. The staff are friendly and helpful. Across the street from the campground is a gas station where you can get ice for a dollar and a half for 20 pounds. For an extra $5 you can choose a shady waterfront site with open water views and docks right at your campsite. There is also a store with all types of fishing gear, snacks, and more. Dont forget to try the fried catfish dinner at the on-site restaurant Chobys with a full service bar and lots of colorful locals.
