This state park is a great place to camp and relax in a beautiful natural setting. There is a spring fed lake with dock, boat rentals, fishing, playground, splash pad, and large open space for families to play games. You can choose to camp with a tent or RV, or rent one of the cabins. There are also picnic areas and another large playground. The campground is on the small side and is very quiet, with flush toilets and showers, centrally located to all campsites. There are trails for hiking and biking, and a self-guided, free freshwater fish aquarium adjacent to the campground. There is a playground with a water splashpad, slides, and a stream with aligators (dont feed the aligators!). You can also rent kayaks, canoes, pedal boats, and bikes from the visitor center to explore the lake and trails. The town of Millen is nearby with fast food options, as well as ample opportunity to pick up essential goods. There is also a museum with a key from the front office, and permanent (concrete) cornhole setup, but youll need your own bean bags. The campground hosts are friendly and helpful, and the staff host many various activities to make your stay a memorable one.
