What others are saying about this campground
Florence Marina State Park is a great place to camp and explore the great outdoors. Located in the small town of Omaha, GA, this park is perfect for those looking to enjoy fishing activities on the Walter F. George Reservoir (Lake Eufaula), kayaking, and exploring nearby Providence Canyon State Park. The campground is an improved campground with water, electric, sewer, tables, grills, and fire pits. Each site also includes a picnic table, lantern hangers, and a t-shaped pole for hanging trash bags. The bath house has been recently renovated and is cleaned multiple times a day. Verizon Wireless and T-Mobile have good coverage in the park, and there are boat ramps, a miniature golf course, and a walking/bike trail. The campground is close to the water, so it can be buggy, and there are flying Asian cockroaches in the area. The campground hosts are very hands-off, and the general store doesnt have many supplies. The roads inside the RV park are blacktop, but some parts could use work due to pot holes.

From The Campground

Florence Marina State Park, once home to Native Americans and the old town of Florence, transports you to its agricultural and commercial past, and immerses you in nature by walking forested trails, visiting the Kirbo Interpretive Center, or fishing from the natural deep water marina where the powerful Chattahoochee River meets Lake Walter F. George. Sitting at the northern end of 45,000 acre Lake Walter F. George (also called Lake Eufaula) this quiet park offers the perfect getaway for those who love water sports. It is adjacent to a natural deep-water marina with an accessible fishing pier, boat slips and boat ramp. Overnight guests can choose from a variety of accommodations, including fully equipped cottages, small efficiency units and a modern campground. Florence Marina is popular with nature enthusiasts as well. Birders are likely to see herons, egrets and even bald eagles. The Kirbo Interpretive Center showcases area wildlife and plants, local history and Native Americans, including artifacts from the prehistoric Paleo-Indian period through the early 20th century. Eight miles southeast is Providence Canyon State Park, known as Georgia’s Little Grand Canyon.
