Whispering Pines RV Campground is a nice spot for a short stay, offering level grassy sites, a playground for kids, water/electric hook-ups, and propane refills. The Good Sam member discount helps offset the high prices. It is an older park with numerous snowbirds doing a long term stay and the sites are tight and close together. Cable TV and Wi-Fi are available, but the reception is poor to fair. The pond on-site is a bit of a mess, but the owners are working to improve the park. The park is located 25 minutes from the visitors’ centre in Savannah, and the manager has addressed a report of theft from a unit. The mobile home park next door is well maintained and clean, and the campsites are easy to access.
