Rocky Mountain Recreation and Public Fishing Area is a beautiful campground located near the Chattahoochee National Forest in Rome, Georgia. The campground offers 2 lakes totaling 559 acres where visitors can catch largemouth bass, bluegill, channel catfish, redear sunfish, crappie, and walleye. The PFA also has archery hunting opportunities for deer, turkey, and small game, and waterfowl hunting is allowed on Antioch Lake and Heath Lake. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as biking, boating, camping, canoeing, fishing, geocaching, hiking, hunting, swimming, wildlife viewing, and picnicking. The campground offers RV, tent, and group primitive sites, fishing docks, fishing jetties, hiking trails, lakes, nature trails, picnic shelters, restrooms, parking, playground, and a visitor center.
