Red Gate is a beautiful park located in a historic area with a well-kept campground. The campground area is separated from other areas by tall hedges. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. The location is convenient to Savannah and offers horse trails and farm roads to explore. Although there is train and highway noise, it is not a major issue. The farm on the property offers horseback riding, carriage rides, and other activities, and there are also goats and horses to see. If interested, you can purchase trolley tickets in the gift shop and the trolley company will pick you up at the property. The park offers a nice pool area, a camp store with miscellaneous items, and a laundry room.
