There are four campgrounds to choose from, and visitors particularly enjoy the Snowberry Campground for its privacy and beautiful tree cover. The park offers many activities including hiking, biking, frisbee golf, and kayaking. Theres a nice new picnic area and parking facilities, although some of the paved roads leading to the campgrounds can be rough and bumpy. Despite the steep fees for non-residents, many still find this park to be worth the stay due to the well-maintained facilities and the beauty of the area.

Farragut State Park is a 4,000-acre park located on the southern tip of Lake Pend Oreille in the Coeur d’Alene Mountains of northern Idaho. Once a World War II-era naval training station, the park now provides camping opportunities with 223 individual sites, 10 camping cabins, and 7 group camps. The park offers unique scenery, history, and an abundance of recreational opportunities, including disc golf, a radio-controlled airplane field, fishing, hiking, biking, equestrian facilities, and World War II history. Don’t miss the Museum at the Brig during your visit.
