Ask about the steak and soak when you check in - its worth it! The grounds can be a bit muddy in places due to the wet spring, and the grass can be high, so be prepared for wet shoes in the morning. There is a bathroom a bit of a walk away for tent campers in the far sites. The customer service is great when available, but the place is not fully staffed and it can be difficult to get a hold of someone to make a reservation. The masseuse offers deep tissue massages that can help with long standing pains. Be aware of low branches on the loop that can scratch the roof of your vehicle. Mice can be an issue in late July, so be prepared for that. Overall, Downey Idaho is a great destination for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway.
