This campground is the perfect spot for campers of all walks of life looking to explore the great outdoors. Located between two separate hot springs, the campground offers 91 spacious and clean sites with separate electric and no hookup loops. The drive from Orofino is a long and winding road along the river and is incredibly beautiful. The campground is clean, with flush toilets and drinking water, plus a dump station. There are also lots of places and plenty of room for horses. The sites have picnic tables and fire pits with cooking grates, and the campground is sheltered with tall fir, cedar and deciduous growth. There is access to the Lochsa River for rafts and kayaks, and the nearby Jerry Johnson Hot Springs offer a great opportunity for hikes and hot springs. The campground is close to the highway, but traffic is light at night, so theres not much noise. The market nearby is friendly, and cabins are available to rent. With its beautiful trees and river access, this campground is the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing stay.

The campground is situated along the Lochsa River and offers opportunities for non-motorized boating, swimming, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing. The nearby Boulder Creek Trail is an excellent option for winter sports enthusiasts. Visitors should be aware that the campground is only accessible from Lewiston, Kooskia, or Missoula. There are no lifeguards on duty at the undeveloped beaches along the river, so visitors should use extreme caution when swimming.
