From The Campground

McCroskey State Park is a remote and breathtaking park located in Idaho. The park is a perfect example of an ecotone, or transition point between two ecosystems. It borders federal, private, and tribal lands and offers a variety of activities such as mountain biking, hiking, horseback riding, bird watching, and camping. The park has four established campgrounds: Fireplace, Mission Mountain, Redtail, and Iron Mountain. All have vault toilets and potable water is available at the base of Mission Mountain, along Skyline Drive near mile nine, and in Redtail Campground. The park is also home to the native Palouse Prairie, an endangered ecosystem, and offers stunning views of the Palouse.
