Sam Owen Campground is a state park that was built a while ago and there are some things you need to keep in mind before choosing a site. Some spots can be quite steep or not aligned with the one-way street so be cautious when picking a spot. There are water spigots around the loops but there arent any hookups available. Be aware that many trees in the area are either dead or dying so this contributes to the presence of stink bugs. However, there are plenty of spots to choose from, including some that are near the water and some that are further back in the woods. The restrooms are well maintained and plentiful. Overall it is a peaceful location and most visitors enjoy their time there.

Sam Owen Campground is located on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille in Idaho. The campground offers a boat launch, trailer parking, and a sandy swimming beach. Visitors can explore the lake by motorized or non-motorized boats, or by canoe or kayak. The campground is surrounded by the beautiful Idaho Panhandle National Forests, offering plenty of opportunities for hiking, fishing, and wildlife viewing.
