This campground is a hidden gem located in the small town of Lava Hot Springs. It is conveniently located near historical sites and major stops along the Oregon Trail, as well as nearby attractions such as the Lava Hot Springs Park and tubing on the river. The campground is old and run down, but it offers full hook-ups with 30 amp service, small concrete pads, fire pits, and good wi-fi and cable TV. There are a few spots suitable for big rigs, with the best sites overlooking the river. The owner/manager is friendly and helpful, and the river behind the rigs is a nice touch. There is also a hot spring nearby that is frequented by locals.
