Marys Place is a peaceful campground located right along the Portneuf River in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. It is within walking distance of the hot springs and downtown area, making it a great spot to explore the area. The sites are all pull in or back in, and can fit large RVs. They are close together, but the friendly neighbors make it a pleasant experience. The campground is clean and safe with friendly hosts, concrete pads, and plenty of mature trees and grass. There is also a walking bridge over the river that takes you to the hot springs, restaurants, shopping, and other activities in town. The only downside is the high water pressure (95 lbs) and the noise from the train and highway. There is no on-site laundry, but there is one just down the road. Dogs are allowed, but owners must pick up after them. Marys Place is the best place to stay in Lava Hot Springs, with beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and easy access to the hot springs and downtown area.

From The Campground

Mary's Place Campground is a non-profit campground owned and operated by the Bannock County Deputy Sheriff’s Association Inc. It is conveniently located within walking distance to everything that Lava has to offer but is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the downtown area. The campground is surrounded by the Portneuf River, providing a barrier from the road and train noise that other campgrounds cannot provide. The RV sites are about 30 feet above the river, and the Riverside tent area is on the river. Since 2010, the campground has undergone large-scale renovations such as all new power, sewer lines, water lines, and irrigation lines. Every year, the campground strives to make Mary's Place, your favorite camping place!
