Heise Hot Springs is a rustic resort located in an unincorporated area about thirty minutes outside of Idaho Falls. It is surrounded by farmland and the Snake River, and is a hidden gem for locals from Idaho and Utah. The campground is spacious with large shade trees and pebble filled roads, and offers a variety of activities such as a golf course, 7 line zipline course, pizza place, pool, and hot springs. The sites are grassy and level, and there are full hook-up sites available for RVs. There is a camp store onsite, but no groceries and the nearest town of any size is Idaho Falls, about 30 minutes away. Campers should be aware that there is no WiFi, no cable, and no satellite due to the large trees. There is also a constant barrage of four wheelers, quads and razors running up and down the road, and dogs barking from uncaring, inconsiderate owners. The campground is quiet during the week, but fills up and becomes noisy on the weekends with kids. There is an additional fee for using the pools and hot springs, and the hot springs are a series of concrete pools. The campground is also difficult to find with GPS, so call for exact directions.
