What others are saying about this campground
Sockeye Campground is a beautiful National Forest Service campground located on the east side of Redfish Lake in the Sawtooth Mountains of Idaho. It offers a variety of amenities for campers, including trees, flat and extra-lengthy asphalt campsites, clean vault toilets, nearby hiking trails, and partial lake views. During peak season, vacationers line up as early as 7am to get a site in this campground. There are some double campsites right on the lake which cost $44/night, and all sites have views of the lake. The campground also offers a small beach on the lake, and kayaking is available at Redfish and Little Redfish and Pettit Lakes. There is a dump station and laundry facility run by the Redfish Lake Lodge near the campground, and the camp host is friendly and helpful. The only downside is that the vault toilets are not always kept clean.
