Salmon River Resort is a small, family-owned campground located on the banks of the Salmon River in White Bird, Idaho. The resort offers full hookups for RVs and tent sites with access to a private swim beach. The setting is beautiful with steep hills surrounding the river and a small sandy area for swimming. The resort also offers a 6-room motel and a small food store in Riggins, 30 miles away. The resort is perfect for a 1 or 2 night stay to take a jet boat ride through Hells Canyon with Kilgore Adventures, a family-owned business. The RV park is a gravel lot with a few spots under trees with grass. Unfortunately, the trees will block your satellite dish. The resort has wifi that works okay, but no Verizon cell service. The people are friendly and the site is clean and quiet. The drive down from the road is steep with a sharp ~120 degree turn at the bottom, so take care when maneuvering your RV. There are spectacular views of the area, referred to as the American Alps, and the jet boat ride is a must-see!
