Friends Creek Park in Argenta, IL is a very nice and spacious campground, perfect for a quiet relaxing getaway. It has well-manicured landscaping and great trails with lots of gorgeous old oaks. The camp host is extremely friendly and helpful, as are all the staff. The campground is large and great for large get togethers or having friends out. The sites are spacious, and you can back into your site with no difficulty. The trees are well maintained so that there are no low hanging branches. The campground now has 50 amp electrical hookups, which is nice to have. There are water spigots available, though they are shared between sites, so you may need extra long water hoses. The shower house/facility and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Additionally, the old school house is a must-see, and there are plenty of little towns to check out or larger areas just a short drive away.

Friends Creek Campground is located in the Friends Creek Conservations Area which is managed by the Macon County Conservation District. The campground has 36 sites as well as a primitive group campsite. Sites are spacious with plenty of space and shade.
