What others are saying about this campground
Big Rock Campground in Big Rock, IL has about 100 sites and operates first come, first served with no reservations allowed. The campground offers clean, well-maintained sites with electric and water hookups, but no full hook-ups, and it is recommended to bring plenty of hose for connecting to the water source. Though the water hook-ups are located towards the back or on the wrong side of most sites. Facilities include flushing and pit toilets on-site, but no showers. Visitors can enjoy nice walking paths and nearby lake, where deer and rabbits can be spotted. Long walks around the lake are popular with visitors. AT&T and T-Mobile have a decent coverage on-site, but there is no Wi-Fi available. The fees are higher for non-residents of the local county. Overall, Big Rock Campground is a clean and pleasant camping destination for RVs and travel trailers, however, tent campers may find limited facilities.
