Lake Louise Campground is a great place for camping and fishing. It is located 1.5 miles from the small town of Byron, IL and is a seasonal campground, but they do have 3 OPEN field areas set aside for full hookups. The sites are grass with a fire pit, electric boxes, and water spigots. Garbage is located a drive down the road near the entrance and pool. The bathrooms/shower/laundry building is old and dirty, however the pool is the only decent thing about this place. The pond (lake) is not swimmable, but there is a small beach/sand area. The campground offers a variety of activities and entertainment for special weekends like Labor Day and Halloween. The sites are small and the whole place feels crowded, but there is a game room and a brand new pool and hot tub. The playground is nice and is located in the middle of the campground. The shower/bathrooms need updating, and there are golf carts driving around the campground, so be sure to follow the speed limit. Overall, this is a great place to stay for a night while passing through the area.
