From The Campground
Burrell's Woods Bicentennial Park is a city-owned and operated campground located in Carmi, Illinois. The campground offers over 100 acres of exploration, including walking and running trails, camper hookups, tent camping, picnic facilities, and tall, shady trees. The camp area has a shelter for picnics and is equipped with grills, electricity, and water. There's also a modern bathhouse with 4 showers each for men and women, hand dryers, hair dryers, and private dressing areas equipped with handicapped sinks, toilets, and showers. The campground is open from April 15 through October 15, and camping is permitted year-round. The park also features a pond stocked with bass, catfish, and bluegill for bank fishing, as well as a quiet, peaceful walking trail. The picnic area and woods feature eight accessible sites for picnicking, parties, and family gatherings, two easy miles from city limits, accessible flush toilets, drinking water, electric hookups, grills, fishing, hiking, nature trails, wildlife viewing, birding, playgrounds, volleyball, biking, and more.
