What others are saying about this campground

This campground is a great place to stay for a night or two. It is located in a small town and has a large camping area considering the size of the city. There are about 30 sites available, all with water and electric hookups, and some with picnic tables and firepits. The campground is first come, first served and payment must be made in cash. The groundsman, Jerry, lives across the street and is very friendly. He will provide a key for the showers. There is also a dump station and disc golf baskets on the grounds. The campground is open until the end of October or when the pipes get too cold to run the water. The town is a nice little town with some very large attractions, such as the worlds largest rocking chair, mousetrap, pencil, gold club, mailbox, seesaw, and wind chime. There is also a Mexican restaurant with a huge taco out front for a sign. The campground is quiet and safe, although there are occasional trains. Be aware that the grounds fill up on horse show days.

Fairview Park is a 40-acre park located in the southeast section of Casey, IL. The park offers a variety of amenities including a children's playground area, soccer area, skate park/bike park, basketball courts, bandstand, horse arena, horseshoe pitching court, tractor pull, a paved walking path, sunken flower garden, memorial garden, five pavilions with grills, several shaded picnic areas, twin ponds for fishing, and a nicely shaded campground facility with water and electrical hook-ups, dump station, fire pits, and restrooms and shower facility. The park also features four ball diamonds, a nine-hole disc golf course, and is home to the Illinois Amateur Softball Association Hall of Fame and Museum along with the Casey Softball Association Hall of Fame. Fairview Park hosts a variety of events throughout the year including the Labor Day Weekend Annual Popcorn Festival, Central Illinois Garden Tractor Pulls, Antique Tractor Pulls, and Christmas in the Park.
