What others are saying about this campground

This campground is located in the country on large acreage, and is well off the road. The road leading up to the office is gravel, as are the campsites. The bathhouse and showers are in a dilapidated condition, making it difficult to determine if they are clean. The staff are friendly and accommodating, and the grounds are kept beautiful with mowed grass and tall trees providing shade. The campground has full hookups and offers a 2 person paddle boat in a polluted pond. There is a policy of no dogs over 15lbs and the entrance gate is locked at night. Unfortunately, the water is brackish and smells like raw sewage, and there are exposed sewer lines and dead limbs in trees over the units. There is also a camp store with minor amenities. Despite these drawbacks, the campground is a convenient stop on the way to Chicago and offers flexibility to come and go as needed.
