This campground is a great place for those looking for a peaceful and quiet camping experience. It offers both drive-in and walk-in tent sites, with plenty of shaded areas and amenities such as fire rings, lantern posts, picnic tables, and pole mounted campstove tables. The campground also has flush toilets and a helpful host who sells firewood. There are lots of activities to do in the area such as a boat ramp, playgrounds, the Chief Illini trail, golf course, and a run down lodge/hotel. The wildlife is great for photography and the lake is beautiful. The campground is open year round and is a great place for spring and fall camping. There is also a food truck right off the lake. The campground does not allow hover boards or motorized bikes of any kind on the roads.
